Couple Suing Costco Wholesale: Hackensack Store Illegally Charged Sales Tax

LEONIA, N.J. — Robert Arnold and Jacqueline Taufield of Leonia have filed a class-action complaint against Costco Wholesale for charging them sales tax illegally on toilet paper in the Wayne and Hackensack stores, NorthJersey.com reports.

The couple lost approximately $6, their attorney said, according to NorthJersey.com.

The complaint alleges, however, that more than 100,000 customers could've also been illegally charged sales tax, NorthJersey.com reports.
