Fort Lee Parents Rally To Help Daughter After Wildfire Destroys Home

FORT LEE, N.J. – A pair of Fort Lee parents are rallying the community to help their daughter and son-in-law whose home was destroyed in a Northern California wildfire.

“The fires that ravaged Santa Rosa completely destroyed Dana & Eric's house and guest house. They lost just about everything they owned,” Dave and Jessie Bushman wrote on a GoFundMe page.

The couple is temporarily living in a hotel with their five cats and two parrots, and “they need substantial help in order to begin to recover from this disaster,” the Bushmans wrote.

The campaign page was created Tuesday had generated more than $10,000 in donations by Wednesday morning.
