Report: Bergen County Has Safest City In New Jersey

As of 2017, it is among the safest states in the U.S., as its crime rates are far below nationwide averages, according to a new report by Alarm.org.

River Vale was named the safest municipality in the state, with New Milford trailing in second place.

None of New Jersey’s top 20 safest cities have a violent crime rate reaching 1 incident per 1,000, or 5 property crimes per 1,000. Those looking for a safe place to raise a family in New Jersey have a slew of options to choose from, the reports says.
