BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — A recent article by the New York Times sheds light on unlimited passes — "whether for yoga sessions, national park visits, or nearly anything else" — and the retirees who are in a particularly "sweet spot."
Among them Bill Bernstein, 70, a contractor who works in Bergen County. Bernstein says he's not completely retired, but can't pass up the ski passes in Vermont.
Last week, he bought a Mad River Glen season pass for just $200. Why? Because he's over 70.
The article says Bernstein purchased the pass from a descendant of the famous von Trapp family.
