MAYWOOD, N.J. -- The Maywood Chamber of Commerce is holding its Semi-Annual Street Fair Sunday, April 17.JC's 1st Street Fair of the season will once again be held along West Pleasant Avenue from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The street will be transformed into a giant town block party.
Many of the local merchants and businesses will showcase their shops and offer special sales. There will be a variety of vendors, eating, entertainment, and activities for children.
The special Kids Traveling Shindig section held in the Bergen Community Bank parking lot will have mechanical kiddie rides, pony rides, petting zoo, climbing wall, clowns, face painting, sand art, temporary tattoos, live entertainment and much more.
Maywood food establishments serving at the fair include:
- Mario’s Pizza serving a wide variety of Italian foods,
- Uncle Pauline’s Puro Sabor serving bbq chicken and ribs
- Uncle Louie Italian Ice
- Find the Empanada Guy #3
- Eat My Balls
- Luke’s Lobster Cheezen
- Maddlenas Cheese Cakes
- Kona Ice
The festival will feature over 100 exhibitors selling new items, crafts and collectibles. Sponsor booths will have information and giveaways.
There also will be live music, dance and demonstrations from the local dancing schools, karate clubs and more.
There will be chairs set up so people can relax, eat and enjoy the shows all day long.
Karaoke by PPX is on board this year. The Kids Traveling Shindig area will station karaoke for anyone wishing to perform.
