The Bergen Senior Coalition is offering a free program showcasing the many resources available to older adults in Bergen County.
The event takes place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness center, which is powered by the New York Giants.
Light refreshments will be served courtesy of the Henry and Marilyn Taub Foundation.
Who should attend:
- Discharge planners
- Municipal social service coordinators
- Caregivers
The Bergen County Senior Coalition is a forum for education and advocacy around needs and resources that help older adults age in place.
Participants are asked to bring adult briefs to donate through food pantries.
Information is available about resources to support older adults in their homes, such as:
- Nutrition and Food services
- Transportation options
- Housing
- Home care services
- Caregiver education
