Join Carolers On Trolley For Hackensack Tree Lighting

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Carolers will sing as the Hackensack Main Street Business Alliance lights the city's tree on Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m on the Courthouse Green.

The Victorian Carolers will perform at the Hackensack Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The event will include free coffee, cookies, hot chocolate, popcorn, cider, photos with Santa and rides on the Hackensack Trolley.

Additional entertainment begins at 6 p.m. with the Hackensack High School Choir and the cast of Elephant and Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” 

There will be a message from Mayor John P. Labrosse, Jr., followed by the tree lighting and a visit from Santa, who will pose with children for free photos (courtesy of Stop & Shop). 

The Johnson Public Library will be giving away 250 free children’s books.

Parking will be available at the Municipal Parking Lot (corner of Moore & Bridge Streets), the Atlantic Street Parking Deck (Atlantic between Main & State), as well as on the street.
