HACKENSACK, N.J. — Hackensack held the 51st Annual Bergen County Art in the Park awards ceremony on Mon. Nov. 16.

Roughly 100 adult visual artists were featured in the show,  with winners in each of five categories.

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco and Bergen County Division of Cultural Affairs Directo, Cynthia L. Forster greeted the public at a reception. Keith Fanella of Fair Lawn provided the musical entertainment.

Winning artists included:

Mark Oberndorf of Wyckoff, first place in acrylics and oils Acrylics and Oils ( SEE: Roadside Bergen, Passaic Icons Fuel Wyckoff Artist's Passion )l

Copie Rodriguez of Garfield, honorable mention in mixed media;

Katalin Klecz of River Edge, best in show;

Rich Lemonie of South Hackensack, honorable mention in photography;

Allen Silber of Glen Rock, third place in acrylics and oils;

Stephanie Grabowski of Paramus, second place in mixed media;

Bryan Collins of Tenafly, second place, in watercolors;

Mehru Cama of Tenafly, honorable mention in watercolors;

In Son of Englewood Cliffs, third place in watercolors;

Jane Sklar of Fort Lee, first place in mixed media;

Christos Kavvadas of Lodi, first place in photography;

Sharon Savitz of Saddle Brook, second place in acrylics and oils;

George Alexopoulas of Tenafly, third place in drawings, prints and pastels.
