Glaze Donuts will be opening an express store on Main Street in Fairmount Park at the end of March, employees told Daily Voice.
Owner Jule Hazou of Paramus opened the New Milford shop in Ridgewood in 2014, and on River Road New Milford in New Milford in 2015 and another in Wayne last fall.
Hazou closed the Ridgewood store five months after opening because "foot traffic wasn't good for business," Hazou said.
Last month, Glaze Donuts won the Judge's Choice Award and Grand Prize at the first annual Donut Fest in New York City.
The store might be most well-known for its famed maple-bacon doughnuts — created by the owner himself.
"I was at a diner and I accidentally spilled syrup on my bacon," Hazou told Daily Voice.
He went home and made a B-line for the kitchen, where Glaze's maple-bacon doughnut was born.
The artisan doughnut shop makes sure to carry "all the classics," Hazou said, "like Jersey cream, jelly and glaze."
And Hazou is happy to throw in a free doughnut at the counter because for him, it's not about the product: "it's about the experience," he said.
Glaze Donuts is located at 358 River Road, New Milford.
